Alamosa Park Education Foundation
APEF is a parent-led volunteer organization devoted to enriching the educational experience for all students at Alamosa Park Elementary. It does this by supporting students, families, and staff through events, programs, and fundraising efforts. They raise money via things like sales, dine-outs, spirit wear, sponsorship, etc., to provide enhancements beyond what standard school funding covers.
Vista SEPTA
Vista Special Education PTA
Vista SEPTA is a group of parents, educators, and community members who focus on supporting students with different learning abilities and their families. It is district-wide (i.e. spans all schools in Vista Unified) and works to build community, provide resources, and host events so that students in special education programs have support, connection, advocacy, and the opportunity to engage meaningfully in their education.
The Ninth District PTA serves San Diego & Imperial Counties, providing support, training, leadership, and guidance to many PTAs and PTSAs (units and councils) — in fact, it serves over 359 unit PTAs and 17 councils, representing nearly 70,000 members.The organization’s work includes grant opportunities, community resources (e.g. mental health and special needs), leadership development trainings, and programs like the Reflections Art Program and Honorary Service Awards.
